The Optris CTi LT series pyrometers feature one of the smallest infrared sensing heads in the world and have a high optical resolution of up to 22:1. They use a thermopile as a detector and operate within a spectral bandwidth of 8-14µm, making them excellent for measuring high-emissivity targets, even at low object temperatures, in fixed installations.
These pyrometers come with a separate control box that offers flexibility with selectable analog outputs and various digital interfaces. This design is particularly advantageous for applications in high-temperature environments. The sturdy construction allows the sensing heads to withstand temperatures up to 180 °C without additional cooling, which makes them suitable for high-temperature settings.
The Optris CTi LT series sets a standard for non-contact temperature measurement by focusing on precision and speed. Their two-piece design includes one of the smallest infrared sensors available, a notable optical resolution of up to 22:1, and a rapid exposure time of as low as 115 ms for 90% energy. These features are optimized for efficient monitoring in fast-paced manufacturing across different industries. The wide temperature range of -50 °C to 1050 °C makes them ideal for non-reflective objects.
These pyrometers excel in temperature resistance, allowing them to operate in ambient temperatures up to 180 °C without extra cooling. Their unique design is resistant to thermal shock, ensuring consistent performance even with changes in ambient temperature. This design meets high-quality standards, as they are engineered and manufactured in Germany.
Made for fixed installation, the Optris CTi LT series offers a reliable solution for continuous temperature monitoring. The precise non-contact temperature measurements are supported by separate electronics, easy-to-access programming keys, and an LCD interface, ensuring stability and accuracy over long periods in various industrial environments.
The versatility of the Optris CTi LT series is highlighted by the range of analog and digital outputs available from the electronics box. These include a built-in USB-C interface, 0/4 – 20 mA, 0 – 5 V, 0 – 10 V, Thermocouple (Type K), USB, RS485, RS232, relay outputs (2 x optically isolated), Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profinet, and EtherNet/IP. This range allows for easy integration into different machinery, improving functionality across a variety of applications.
Optional accessories designed for different industrial needs expand the infrared sensor’s capabilities. The mounting fork provides secure installation, while the sighting tube increases targeting and accuracy. The close-focus lens allows for detailed temperature measurements of small or distant objects, and the air purge accessory protects the temperature sensor from contaminants in harsh conditions.
In summary, the Optris CTi LT series pyrometers deliver precision, versatility, and durability, making them effective for non-contact temperature measurements across different industrial applications. They offer reliability and efficiency in challenging conditions.

Thermography software optris PIX Connect is included and license-free.All infrared cameras are delivered with the thermography software optris PIX Connect, developed specifically for the extensive documentation and analysis of thermal images. The Windows-based PIX Connect software enables users to tailor the infrared cameras to meet specific requirements. It analyses live and recorded temperature data and triggers alarm signals for process integration. The key to leveraging the Optris infrared camera is a correct configuration. This includes detailed device-specific configurations such as frame rate, measurement range adjustments, external communication settings, and USB/Ethernet configurations. Moreover, PIX Connect facilitates firmware updates and the download of configuration files over the Internet.
Optris offers several different SDKs for our Xi and PI thermal imaging cameras. Depending on the operating platform, the infrared camera, the coding language, and the hardware platform, different software interfaces can be utilized:
The Optris IRmobile allows users to set up and commission an Optris infrared pyrometer or infrared camera with an Android smartphone or tablet. This tool becomes handy for commissioning and aligning the infrared camera’s field of view or adjusting the configuration. The app analyzes the connected infrared camera‘s live infrared image stream with auto hot and cold spot detection. For pyrometers, a temperature-time diagram or the video signal is displayed. This app works on most Android devices running 5.0+ with a USB port supporting USB-OTG (On The Go).
