Built for seamless Industry 4.0 integration, the CTlaser F2 offers unparalleled connectivity. It supports a comprehensive array of industrial interfaces, including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP, as well as standard analog outputs. This flexibility allows for direct incorporation into both new and existing plant control networks. Configuration, data visualization, and logging are intuitive with the free compactConnect software, which is operable on any mobile phone or PC.
To ensure perfect adaptation to your specific installation, a selection of exchangeable lenses is available to optimize the distance-to-spot ratio. A variety of mounting accessories guarantees a secure and reliable setup. Every CTlaser F2 unit is a testament to German engineering rigor, undergoing final calibration and a comprehensive end-of-line check at our German facility before shipment. For definitive gas-temperature measurement, trust the precision of the Optris CTlaser F2.
  • Temperature range: 200 °C to 1650 °C
  • Spectral range: 4.24 µm
  • Response time: 10 ms
  • For Temperature Measurement of hot CO₂ gas

The CTlaser F2 offers precision non-contact temperature measurement of carbon dioxide flame gases, reaching temperatures up to 1650 °C. This precision is crucial for combustion processes, garbage burning, and operations within chemical reactors, instilling confidence in the pyrometers performance.

Gas molecules emit infrared energy at specific wavelengths, forming absorption bands in the infrared spectrum. Infrared thermometers are equipped with filters that select wavelengths based on the absorption bands of targeted gases, determining the spectral range. The CTlaser F2’s spectral range of 4.24 μm enables accurate carbon dioxide temperature readings, with temperature ranges varying from: 200 °C to 1450 °C for the F2 model and 400 °C to 1650 °C for the F2H model.

The CTlaser F2 features a system accuracy of ±1% and repeatability of ±0.5% or +0.5 °C at an ambient temperature of 23 ±5 °C. With a spot size starting from 1.6 mm and Distance to Spot ratio of 45:1 with different focus points, the infrared sensor ensures accuracy and flexibility in various settings.

The pyrometers‘ double laser aiming marks offer precise aiming support and minimize alignment errors. This innovative system employs two laser beams to trace the infrared optical path and accurately indicate the spot’s position and size, regardless of distance.

The pyrometer features a two-piece design with a separate electronics box, providing a diverse array of analog and digital outputs for seamless integration into various industrial processes and control systems. It remains operational in ambient temperatures up to 85 °C without requiring cooling, with the laser automatically shutting off at 50 °C to conserve power.

Enhanced with Optris accessories such as air purging, cooling jackets, and mounting flanges, the CTlaser F2 is designed for integration into diverse gas monitoring applications, with customization options like different cable sizes provided for specific customer requirements.

Manufactured in Germany, these pyrometers undergo meticulous calibration to meet government standards such as PTB or NIST, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in temperature measurement. Optris provides comprehensive support for the CTlaser F2 series, including consultation on industrial applications and after-sales support, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Thermography software optris PIX Connect is included and license-free.All infrared cameras are delivered with the thermography software optris PIX Connect, developed specifically for the extensive documentation and analysis of thermal images. The Windows-based PIX Connect software enables users to tailor the infrared cameras to meet specific requirements. It analyses live and recorded temperature data and triggers alarm signals for process integration. The key to leveraging the Optris infrared camera is a correct configuration. This includes detailed device-specific configurations such as frame rate, measurement range adjustments, external communication settings, and USB/Ethernet configurations. Moreover, PIX Connect facilitates firmware updates and the download of configuration files over the Internet.

Optris offers several different SDKs for our Xi and PI thermal imaging cameras. Depending on the operating platform, the infrared camera, the coding language, and the hardware platform, different software interfaces can be utilized:

The Optris IRmobile allows users to set up and commission an Optris infrared pyrometer or infrared camera with an Android smartphone or tablet. This tool becomes handy for commissioning and aligning the infrared camera’s field of view or adjusting the configuration. The app analyzes the connected infrared camera‘s live infrared image stream with auto hot and cold spot detection. For pyrometers, a temperature-time diagram or the video signal is displayed. This app works on most Android devices running 5.0+ with a USB port supporting USB-OTG (On The Go).
